How to grow lavender.
Lavender loves alkaline and loamy soil, pH about 6,5-7. They definitely don't prefer soil with a lot of nutrients, so don't fertilize lavender when you seeding it. If she will need sam nutrients she will show it on her leaves.
Lavender doesn't like a lot of humidity, so you need to get the best drainage you can get. So basically you can use small dolomite rocks if you grow lavender outside and perlite if you grow it on pot.
So if you grow lavender from seed, you have to look if the plant is meant for winter hardiness. You can see in the description of seed packaging. The best thing to do is make stratification for seeds- its basically like winter period, you can put them in the refrigerator for 34 days. So put seed on the wet mat and in a plastic bag, and then live it for 34 days in refrigerator or freezer for 2 weeks(but be careful to not forget about them, and don't put on the wet mat)
So when the seeds are opened take them out and put on the heating mat ( in heating machinery or on the windowsill) that will take one week in machinery- heating cabin, and about 2-4 weeks on a windowsill.
So when the seeds have made their first taproot, you have to put it in the soil. You can use dolomite small rocks or grate, then mix it with sam pet and with sam alkaline soil. This mix is the best for plants to grow in the first stages.
But if you want to grow lavender inside you just plant it on bigger pot and that all, but don't forget about prelit.
The roots are very fragile so be careful to not to damage them, but anyway, if something brakes of it don't matter, it will grow even if the half of root has been broken. Put them in a small herb dip, put in a deep box so when it grows bigger they have the best requirements for roots.
Then when the plant is about 5- 10 cm you can put it on the bigger pot if you want to plant it outside you can use wicker pots, so you can just put this pot in a soil.
But if you want to grow lavender inside you just plant it on bigger pot and that all, but don't forget to put perlite with soil.
If you have any questions I am free to answer them, have a good growing!
Yours faithfully ℒ𝔞𝔳𝔞𝔶𝔡𝔲𝔩𝔩𝔞
